2019 Summer School registration information

Warwick Valley High School does not offer a summer high school program in district. The program is available to Warwick Valley students at four high schools in Orange County. Registration is facilitated by high school counselors in the Guidance Office: 845-987-3050, ext. 12600

Registration dates

  • Friday, June 28, 8 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
  • Monday, July 1, 8 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, July 2, 8 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Summer School information and NYS Regents registration

Monroe-Woodbury Summer School Schedule

Tuesday, July 2 – Wednesday, Aug. 14 (No classes on July 4)

Earth science lab practical: Tuesday, Aug. 6
Students who are taking the Earth science Regents exam but are not enrolled in the Summer School Earth science class are responsible for scheduling their lab practical by contacting the Summer School office.

Fee schedule

  • Summer School classes: $275 per class
  • Regents: $60 per exam   
  • NYS Regents review class (August 5-8, 1:30 – 3 p.m.): $275
  • Late fee (after June 28): $20

TO REGISTER:

Non-residents of Monroe-Woodbury Central School District may also register for summer school classes and regents exams through the host district’s Summer School RevTrak site.

What to bring to  Monroe-Woodbury HS on July 1, 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

  • An official copy of the students transcript
  • If applicable: 504 Plan/ IEP/Health requirements
  • Health history form completed and signed (M-W health history form in English/Spanish)

Cornwall Summer School Schedule

Monday, July 8 – Monday, Aug. 12

Midterm examinations will be administered on Thursday, July 25. Local, final examinations will be administered on Monday, August 12. REGISTRATION BASED ON AVAILABLE SPACE.

TO REGISTER:

Students must meet with their WVHS guidance counselor to complete a Cornwall Summer School application in the WVHS Guidance. The application must be completed and signed by the school counselor before going to register.

What to bring to Cornwall High School Library on July 3, 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

  • All registration documents
  • Official copy of student transcript
  • A check, cash or money order payable to Cornwall HS
  • If applicable: 504 Plan/ IEP/Health requirements

John S. Burke Catholic High School Regents exam tutorial courses & NYS Regents examinations

Burke Catholic will be offering four 10-hour Regents tutorial classes in Aug. 2019 in preparation for NYS Regents. They will be taught over three days before the exams in August, and they are NOT credit recovery classes. Check the Burke Catholic Summer School calendar for specific dates and times. Any student in Orange County may take a Regents exam at Burke Catholic.  

Fee schedule

  • Tutorial Classes: $255 per class
  • Regents: $55 per exam   
  • Physical setting/Earth science Regents exam: $100

TO REGISTER:

Students must pick up all pertinent information from the WVHS Guidance Office and complete the registration online via www.burkecatholic.com. “Summer School” link will go live on June 26. After completing the online registration, submit the following to Burke Catholic before July 2, between 9 a.m. and 12 noon: WVHS student transcript and payment (cash, credit, or money order payable to host school).

Wallkill Central Summer School Schedule

Monday, July 8 – Monday, Aug. 12  

Science lab practical: Students must show proof of completion of all laboratories for science courses.

Fees Schedule

  • Summer School Classes: $160 for one course; $295 for two courses  
  • Regents: $75 per exam.

TO REGISTER:

Non-residents of Wallkill Central School District may register for summer school classes and Regents exams by submitting a letter from their guidance counselor. In addition to a written permission from their home school, students must have a minimum overall average of 50 and no more than 50 absences in the course during the regular school year.

What to bring to Wallkill High School on July 1, 2 or 3, between 8:30 and 11 a.m., or 12 and 2 p.m.

  • If applicable: 504 Plan/ IEP/Health Requirements
